Route 77 Bytes
A downloadable game for Windows
Route 77 Bytes is an immersive experience that blends active, rough task management with subtle mystery in a detailed 16-bit pixel art environment.
Originally created for the GDevelop BIG GAME JAM, this game captures the specific challenges and utter solitude of a remote gas station. You are the lone employee on the night shift at the forgotten 24/7 stop on Route 77.
Your singular goal: survive a week of grueling shifts, keeping the fuel flowing and the strange business under control.
✨ Gameplay and Atmosphere
Your routine is demanding and limited to crucial responsibilities:
- Fueling Service: You must manually pump gas for customers, ensuring precision and speed during every transaction.
- Perimeter Control: You must fend off loiterers and drive away the homeless from the property to maintain the security and order required by management.
- Administrative Work: Handle the necessary paperwork by sending daily emails to management (sales reports, station complaints, etc.).
- Electrical Emergency Management (New): The power will occasionally go out. You must rush to the electrical panel and solve a simple logic mini-game to restore the station's electricity and prevent chaos during the night.
As the 7 days progress, this pressurized routine, combined with the vastness of the night, will blur the lines between reality and the strange occurrences of Route 77.

nice! I like the idea, I suggest making the backdrops more player sized. they felt a little big.
